Workplace-based organisational interventions to prevent and control obesity by improving dietary intake and/or increasing physical activity - New protocols under development with the Cochrane Public Health Group:
- The health and wellbeing effects of welfare to work interventions for lone parents and their children.
- Fortification of staple foods with vitamin A for preventing vitamin A deficiency in populations.
- Population health effects of fortification of wheat and maize flour with folic acid.
- Knowledge translation strategies for facilitating evidence-informed public health decision making among managers and policy-makers.

The Cochrane Public Health Group (CPHG), formerly the Health Promotion and Public Health (HPPH) Field, aims to work with contributors to produce and publish Cochrane reviews of the effects of population-level public health interventions.
The broad objectives of the CPHG are to:
1) Facilitate the production and publication of systematic reviews of relevance to comtemporary public health topics on The Cochrane Library
2) Strengthen the editorial process to ensure timely and quality production of Cochrane reviews of significant public health topics
3) Build capacity of author teams locally and internationally, to produce high quality Cochrane reviews to add to the evidence base as well as contributing to workforce skills to use and build evidence relevany to public health decision making
4) Contribute to methodological developments for complex public health systematic reviews
5) Develop/Adopt appropriate knowledge translation strategies to ensure published reviews from the CPHG have an impact on policy and practice development and continue to advocate for high quality research, evaluation and evidence, appropriate to the needs and context of public health pratice and policy making
